Yameth or Yannis Methenitis has been involved in music, the music industry and radio.
He started playing guitar in 1970 in Central Africa, learning how to coexist in a band and give way to the song.
In ’78 he came to Greece and participated in various unknown and not so unknown bands.
He then set up from the first plasterboard, “Plaka Recording Studio” which he operated until 1994.
He was the director of radio stations in Athens such as Pop Fm, Nitro, Lampsi, Capital, Eva, Superstar, etc.
He collaborated with record companies and artists, organized concerts and released record collections.
A one man show in the studio, guitarist, sound engineer come record producer with stints as Program director on several Athens radio stations. And this is his blog.
The music on this page (not exactly classified as jazz) stems from some early demo recordings from the 90’s. Recorded at his project studio, played or programmed by Yannis with guest appearances on the Rhodes piano by good friends, such as Nikos Stamoulis and Dimitris Plagiannis.
